The Global Water Future 2026
A Holistic Approach to Water Monitoring and Conservation
II International Interdisciplinary Conference
21–25 September 2026 · Borucino near Gdańsk · Poland
About the Conference
Dive into the future of water with us!
The University of Gdańsk and the Center for Water Monitoring and Protection warmly invite you to the second edition of The Global Water Future — an international, interdisciplinary conference bringing together researchers passionate about shaping the future of one of our planet’s most precious resources: water.
In the era of the Anthropocene, where the boundaries between human, animal, and environmental health are increasingly intertwined, addressing water-related challenges requires bold and holistic thinking. The Global Water Future is more than a conference — it is a vibrant platform for dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas, grounded in the One Health perspective.
We bring together experts and early-career researchers from environmental engineering, medicine, biotechnology, paleolimnology, social sciences, and geoinformatics, creating a space where disciplines meet and new perspectives emerge. If your research engages with water, climate, health, or society, this conference offers an inspiring environment to share insights and develop new collaborations.
The conference will be held in a hybrid format, enabling participation on-site in Borucino, in the Kashubian region of northern Poland. This approach welcomes both in-person and remote participants, ensuring global accessibility while preserving the value of direct scientific exchange in an inspiring natural setting.
Join us and become part of a growing international community that sees water protection not only as a challenge, but also as a shared responsibility and a shared opportunity.
